Confined Space Rescue – what is to be known
The rescue of workers from confined spaces requires highly trained rescuers and supervisors. Those who perform confined space rescues from silos, vaults, storage tanks and sewers must undergo annual updates to their training at a minimum. More frequent training is much preferred. Confined space rescuers must be familiar with updated techniques and technology for using ropes, as well as lighting that will not cause ignition of flammable gases in confined spaces.
