Search & rescue crew recieves high angle rescue training

ST. GEORGE – The Washington County Sheriff Search and Rescue Team helped hikers off Red Mountain north of Ivins on Monday after the group wandered off trail and got stuck on a ledge. Washington County Emergency Services Director Pete Kuhlmann said the team received a call from the lost hikers at approximately noon from Red Mountain Wilderness, which is a Bureau of Land Management area. The hikers did not sustain any injuries and seemed to be doing fine, Kuhlmann said a few hours after the team received the call. Code Red Safety finishes dangerous rescue job with 0 incidents

Code Red Safety recently under took a very tough confined space rescue job in an inert atmosphere 120 feet off the ground!  This rescue combined high angle and a dangerous confined space.  Our three man team put together a detailed pre plan for the rescue, and then executed it in a professional manner.  Thanks to our team members: Dennis, Chris, Alfredo, Jason and Alfredo congratulations on a job well done!
