Saying he was lost, hurt and under the influence of drugs, a man who had been wandering in heavy brush for hours called for help Sunday, launching a difficult rescue by rope. A driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries after her vehicle plunged about 100 feet off the side of Highway 154 on Thursday morning, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. Firefighters used a rope rescue system to reach the driver, then treated and stabilized her, put her in a rescue basket and hoisted her to the roadway, Capt. David Sadecki said.   MARION COUNTY, TN (WRCB) – Scary moments in a Marion County State Park. Firefighters rescued a pit bull puppy Sunday night from a sink hole from a collapsed septic tank in Calimesa using confined space rescue techmiques, Cal Fire officials said. The trapped dog was reported at 8:18 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Myrtlewood Drive, south of Avenue L in Calimesa, Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County said in a statement.  Four engine crews with 18 firefighters responded, Hendrickson said.
